Shina was involved in the organization of Triple Take Productions since the beginning and was one of the first involved in the inception of the company itself. She has performed in Triple Take’s Fringe entry Where are the Birds? as well as in Multiple Madness. Shina also wrote one of the sketches and was the script assistant/production assistant/continuity person for Sketch TV (short version). Her love for theatre and film lead her to study at the University of Windsor in the honours Communications Studies program. Over the years she streamlined into film production (with a minor in drama). She was the Assistant Director of a short film produced at the University called Without Papers which placed third at the Niagara Falls International Film Festival and was accepted to be screened by the judges of Telefest. The film also received a special commendation from The Canadian International Annual Film/Video Festival. In her graduating year, Shina was contracted to work on a promotional video for the City of Windsor social services department. The video outlined a new program that the department had developed for encouraging young, single mothers to rejoin the work force.
