AUDITION NOTICE
For the Fringe of Toronto Festival, 2010
Good Egg Productions & Triple Take Productions present:

We are looking for EQUITY or NON-EQUITY actors.
Pay rate: a percentage of profits made once expenses are reimbursed
Audition dates: Friday February 5: 7:00pm-10:00pm, Saturday February 6: 1:20pm-5:40pm, Sunday February 7: 1:20pm-5:40pm, and Monday February 8: 7:00pm-10:00pm.
Audition location: 80 Front Street East (near the intersection at Front and Church, between Metro and the TD Bank, on the north side of Front Street).
Callback dates: Saturday February 20th & Sunday February 21st 1:00pm-6:00pm if necessary.
Special note: Actors must be available for all Toronto Fringe performances June 30 – July 11, 2010, as well as rehearsals on Saturdays and Sundays May 15 – June 27 from 1:00pm-6:00pm.
Deadline for submitting headshots and resumes – Thursday February 4th, 5:00pm
Synopsis A woman cursed by farce finds a place to live, a man to love, and plenty of hijinx in a flat affectionately known as “The Aquarium”.
ROLES:
JEANETTE: Female, 25-35, preferably with dark hair. She works in a flower shop, but she was once a playwright. She is looking for a new place to live.
ALEX: Male, 25-35 with some skill in physical/slapstick comedy (an asset). He is a Masters student whose roommate is George.
GEORGE: Male, 25-35 with some skill in physical/slapstick comedy (an asset). He is Alex’s roommate.
BOB: Male, 25-65. He is the upstairs neighbor.
JEN: Female, 25-45. She is a nurse and Jeanette’s ex-roommate. She may be in love with Gen.
GEN: Female, 25-40. She is a hairstylist and neo-pagan, as well as Jeanette’s ex-roommate. She may be in love with Jen.
FEMALE CHARACTERS: Female, 20-40, preferably blonde.
MALE CHARACTERS: Male, 20-40.

If you are selected for an audition, please prepare a very silly 2-minute contemporary comic monologue. You will be asked to read sides at the audition, some of which may be emailed to you in advance.
