Day 6 of the 12 Tales of the Holiday Season…an excerpt from Allison McWood’s “Holly & Ivy”

Today, I present to you an excerpt (Chapters 3 & 4) from author Allison McWood’s Christmas novella, Holly & Ivy: A Dysfunctional Christmas Novella (copied below with permission by the author)…

Allison is an acclaimed, multi-published Canadian author, playwright and lyricist. Specializing in comedy, farce and satire, Allison’s novels, plays, musicals and children’s books all feature her signature quirkiness. Her writing has not only charmed readers and audiences across Canada, but her works have also been taught at Universities around the world from Vancouver to Lucknow, India. Holding a specialized Literature/Renaissance Drama degree from Toronto’s York University, Allison is also a Shakespearean dramaturge, and Marlovian scholar.

When she is not writing, you can either find Allison in her red canoe, reading way too many books, playing air guitar, petting all the dogs or sipping cappuccino in a cute cafe.
